335 Commons

335 West McDowell Road, Phoenix, AZ 85003

  • Introducing 335 Commons, our first adaptive reuse project situated in the Historic Roosevelt Neighborhood, recognized as a Top Ten Arts District in the United States by USA Today. This mixed-use property informed our pragmatic approach as community-centered real estate developers.

  • 335 Commons embodies our unwavering commitment to blend historical significance with modern functionality. Our strategy was rooted in practicality, veering away from traditional workplaces to purposely offer smaller spaces that reflected the prevailing market dynamics of the Great Recession.

By adaptively reusing an existing building within the Historic Roosevelt Neighborhood, we responded aptly to economic shifts and the evolving community needs. Incorporating salvaged materials and energy-efficient design underscores our dedication to sustainability and inspires us to salvage and reuse materials from all our subsequent builds. Never vacant and designed for flexible usage, it continues to serve as a hub for local and creative enterprise.

How did we engage the community?

Embracing the power of social media early on, we held a naming contest for what is now known as 335 Commons. The contest aimed to find a name for the building by inviting locals to suggest a name that represented the spirit of the neighborhood. This interactive approach ignited engagement, with participants joining our Facebook page, sharing ideas, and winning prizes. A series of curated pop-up events further solidified connections, aligning neighbors and local businesses with our project.
